A Note From Pastor

Dear Church Family,

Historically, pastors, preachers and ministers of the gospel have made a habit of preaching against things that they felt were a threat to their religious standing. It might have been a music or clothing style, or a myriad of other things.

I guess some would think that I am preaching against the use of media because of its negative impact on our society. However, nothing could be further from the truth. It is my intention to help us learn how to use as many of the forms of media as we can for the purposes of God. It is and always should be our goal to further the kingdom of God.

In this series: Give Me A Break we have talked about taking a break from work, food and distractions. However, I have not encouraged you to quit eating forever, or to quit your job. However, I have encouraged you to take proper rest and to spend some time in fasting.

In Give Me A Break From Media Part 2 we will be looking at how to best use our time. It is one commodity that God has given us that we cannot store up. We must use it right the first time. In the use of Media we must learn ways to make the most of every opportunity for the sake of Christ.
