Dear Church Family,

Many times in my life growing up, I have been told that I was "hard of hearing" - not exactly hearing what was said, or not paying attention to the directions that were being told. The older I have become, I am now accused more of "selective hearing" - the ability to listen to what I WANT to hear.

This morning I will discuss this same phenomenon in the Christian's life. Are we truly listening to what is being said? are we "hard of hearing" or do we engage in spiritual "selective hearing"? I believe that God is speaking to his people during this time more than ever. We must listen to the voice of our Creator if we expect to influence our world for Jesus. Learning to listen to our Lord and answer Him is all we need to do.
