Answer to Prayer: 2/19/2010
Clark's boat travel was very smooth. Besides the excessive heat and a few mechanical glitches, all things went well. As for things at the center while he was gone, town power stayed on the whole time and the generator didn't run at all, so I didn't even have to check the fuel level. Thank you so much for your prayers. Jana Wycliffe Bible Translators
Original Prayer Request: Dated 2/12/2010 Hello Prayer Partner,
Just wanted to ask for prayers as Clark goes to a village on Monday and Tuesday of next week, Feb. 15th and 16th. He will be traveling by banana boat to Duke of York Island to install a new shower and put in an indoor toilet for the translation team there. He has spent all week purchasing everything he thinks he might need including fuel for the generator. The boat ride will only be about an hour and half but can be very jarring depending on the weather. The tools and supplies needed are a bit precarious with extra long boards, shower walls, and septic pipes. Pray that he will remember everything needed, the weather is good, and his health remains strong. Of course he'd love to finish in a timely manner and be able to check out the local coral reefs while snorkeling.
On the home front, while Clark is gone, I'd like prayers that things will run smoothly here at the center especially with our generator power if needed. Last time Clark was gone, the generator was flashing a signal that looked much like a bomb with an X through it. Not very comforting when you are ignorant about the machine but smart enough to know that's not good!
Thank you for your prayers. The translation team are very excited after many years to finally have an indoor toilet. I can't imagine living without an indoor toilet more than a one week camping holiday. Can you?
Blessings,
Jana

Yes! The toilet is in and working. The shower is directly to the right with new walls, bottom, and fixtures. Although you cannot see it from this photo, the bathroom is now connected to the rest of the house making it much more pleasant to use than the old fashioned out house and with less mosquitoes ;-)
