Scripture reading 8/31/2010: Rev 5:8 "And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints."
Observation: Jesus loves me so much that in His slain body He accepted the scroll before the Throne of God for me. What a blessing to know that my prayers are in the golden bowls put before my Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Application: I need to pray each day for His coming and give thanks to Him for what He has done for me. The bowl contain the prayers of my lifetime to accomplish His purpose on this earth for Jesus until He comes again. May my prayers be a sweet fragrance unto my Lord Jesus.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, please forgive me for my worldliness. Each day may I pray more and more for your coming and thank you more and more for what you have done for me. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

Scripture: Reading for 8/28/2010 Ezekiel 1 is his vision of the glory of God. Ezekiel 2:2 "As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me." Ezekiel 3:12 "Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a loud rumbling sound—May the glory of the LORD be praised in his dwelling place!" Ezekiel 3:24 "Then the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet. He spoke to me and said: "Go, shut yourself inside your house."
Observation: It is obvious that Ezekiel humbled himself before the Lord and opened his heart, mind and soul to hear what purpose God had for him. God planned to send Ezekiel on a difficult mission.
Application: As a child of the Lord I believe that everything I run into was divinely purposed by my Lord. It may be a blessing, a test, or a mission; but I need to learn to humble myself and wait for the Spirit to lift and lead me.
Prayer: Lord forgive me for my sins and wash me clean each morning. Help me in my walk with You each day to wait for the Spirit to lift and lead me in Your way as Ezekiel did.
