Dec. 7th, 2009 Hello Everyone, Clark just phoned from Kokopo Regional Center, where he has been managing, and said that the commercial flights had been delayed until the volcanic ash can be removed from the runway. Not sure how they do this and why the airport staff was not taking care of the situation. However, the translation couple that was trying to return to our main center in Ukarumpa will spend another night and try tomorrow. It is common for there to be ash but the wind determines where it goes. The volcano is not a danger of eruption just ash. This concerns us because next week on Wed. Dec. 16, Aaron and I will fly to Kokopo. We want to be able to make our flight as we will not have arranged for an overnight in our capital city of Port Moresby. Also, later, on Jan. 3rd, Aaron is flying from Kokopo to Alotau to join several of his classmates on a Jesus film showing mission trip. If his flights are delayed, he could miss the boat and miss out on this opportunity that he has been working towards all semester. As you remember us, please pray that our travel arrangements will go smooth and our adjustment to the coastal heat will not take too long :-) Thank you for partnering with us.
